Unit "pain therapy"
date is for my presentation: 12/13.02.2010. The following question I will deal in the near future: pain in cancer patients living in nursing homes. Palliative idea feasible? . Just ordered this literature. Will my next vacation, including me use this theory to deal with the matter. In practice, I experience it every day ... In principle, I could already start to write, but because it must be written down scientifically, I need out of my experiences, some scientific statements on the subject.
One thing I ask time and again, unfortunately, many practitioners have never heard of WHO-step scheme heard! They prescribe anything without conducting a detailed pain history.
here again for all the step scheme:
Level 1: Non-opioid medications (eg aspirin, Novaminsulfon)
Level 2: weak opioids (eg Tramal, tilidine with naloxone)
level 3: strong opioids (eg morphine, oxycodone)
